I've done the grey water installation, and wired up the van & ute so I can power the van from the ute.
My still to go projects include:-
Install the canopy on the ute. I need to do some work on the ute tray first, and decide on cargo tie downs before the canopy can be bolted in place,
Install an extra fuel tank under the tray, to be done when working on the tray. 80lt veh. tank, 60lt diesel as an auxiliary, should be enough.
Remove and install both van and veh. spare wheels in the canopy, I want the weight as far forward as I can get it, and the van spare is installed under on the rear, its awkward to get access to, and as heavy as hell.
Install 12volt accessory plugs in the ute drivers side of dash in a compartment that folds out in front of the fuses. Running GPS & brake safe monitor from here, to get rid of the wires mess in the cab.
Hopefully install DR Lights on the ute.
Purchase and install a rear view camera on the back of the canopy, and which can be used on the back of the van as well. Am looking at a 90' or so viewing angle.
Install a 12v and USB power outlet station in the van for all our gadgets.
Install a grab rail in the shower, its slippery and cramped in there, and the shower fixture is not something that you can use.
When I do these, and do the house up for sale we can set off.
Install the canopy on the ute. I need to do some work on the ute tray first, and decide on cargo tie downs before the canopy can be bolted in place,
From this I presume that the tray being Alloy type & not styleside! In one of my utes I removed One bolt from each of the 6 hinges and replaced them with eye bolts fitted from the inside, they had to be trimmed on the outside. Proved to be very handy more than strong enough.
Don't get too comfortable when you finish all that Ian cos you will always find another little project to do.
I put a Anderson Plug inside the van and find it useful. I also put one on the road side of van and use that for my portable water pump when filling the tanks by water containers.

Hi Dougwe, I put the thread up as casual content, its been a bit slow out there. However I too need to address the water pump problem, I am installing a 75lt water tank in the canopy, and will have to rig up a pump to do transfers (both ways, filling and transfer).
An Anderson plug is also on the agenda, mainly so I can plug the air compressor in closer to the van.
In the mean time I shall read my list again, cause it makes me feel tired, and I will need to have a nap then.
Gudday iana, I dont have a flash canopy on my Coli yet but I do have a flash Ali tray. Its got Toyota stamped on it but I can live with that. It has a rail, one inch ali angle I think running the length of both sides with 1/2 inch or 5/8 holes about every 6". the rail is inside the drop sides instead of outside, and the drop sides when up are about 1/2" clear so you can rope or hook or strap to your hearts content and still close the sides. I was a bit dubious when I bought it to replace the Coli's tub & having always had flat deck trays. This is gold.
