Hmm ? Thought of swimming pool / fish pond paint on membrane ? I used it on rubber sealing roof on motorhome .. Slight clear to yellow colour .. There's other wax type for canvase too .. Check eBay ?
Why waterproof.
It's designed to give shade. and still allow "AIrflow".
LOOK and absorb it's name.
You looking at a "Tarp" for your job.
As long as you hang it vertically or a shallow angle.
95% of all but torrential rain will run down it.
After you been around a while.
You'll realise that most use the shadecloth.
My last 3 vans had full brand new annexes. complete. packed in wheel arch storage bins. or garage.
A lot of us never use. unless permanent longterm camp.
Shade cloth gives you all you need, hung at diferent angles to suit.
I have a set of shorter extendable legs that I put on ends when wanting more airflow, view.
drop down for privacy.
ONE end piece to suit the end any neighbors are parked.
Interesting question, raises all sorts of mental images. Our assumptions may be totally off track. Aus-Kiwi is probably on the money suggesting some sort of flexible paint that would allow the little holes to fill but still allow the lot to be folded up for travel. That is of course, provided you want to travel with it. Maybe you want to make it a permanent fixture. Maybe you don't care that it'll be not shady anymore. And maybe you don't care what others use or don't use because you have a particular need that most others don't..
I've never done it so I don't profess to have valuable advice. I hope someone else can provide good information for you
No idea as to your question.
However I did purchase a waterproof plastic type of cover, I got it from a Mega Mitre 10 store at Beenleigh, Qld near Brisbane.
They have it on a huge roll in the same section as their shade cloth. Worth a look your local hardware store
I installed this product over our fold out house clothes line. so when it looks like rain,we just roll out the cover and hey presto, no panic and the washing is under cover and out of the weather.
I have sails between patio and pool at home . The first 1.5m I applied base coat a pool membrane paint . As I wanted a little rain protection, plus the shade cloth actually made the rain enter patio as it fizzed the rain as it fell through . It's over the fern / vege garden also .
So it is an annex and not a awning? Is it the side screens you wish to waterproof? If it is simply have some canvas external flaps sewn on or clear plastic.
