Airconditioing

Hi everyone, I could not find a most recent post on this topic of airconditiong 2016, We have purchased a 97 Jayco starcraft pop top 16ft.

I have priced rooftop sparrow at a cost of $3700 installed, Heron Q but all the comments read say either don't work or too loud at a cost of around $2700 installed. Domestic unit so much cheaper but know where realily to put one. What are people putting in at the present moment am very confused and indecisive about it all. Thanks in advance.

Hi there blueshaz06 and welcome to this great and informative forum as you are new here I will politely say that this is the introduction page to tell us just a little about your self and as such you will get much better exposure to your enquiry in the teckies section, also click on the search button above here and search for your topic of interest and see if you can find a thread on this subject already there usually is one as most subjects have been discussed some frequently .

Welcome to the gang Blueshaz06, enjoy here and out in the playground.

I think Woody is suffering frost bite Blueshaz so make allowances for him please biggrin As a newbie you were not to know how the forum works yet disbeliefnobiggrin

Jokes aside though, it is important to keep posts in the appropriate section for future reference by yourself and others that may be looking for similar info. It doesn't take long for a post to get to the dungeon. The "general" section of this great forum is a good example. Many posts go in there that should really be in other sections so a good post is down in the dungeon in a matter of a couple of days.

Cindy, our forum owner and webmaster has set the forum up with different sections so enjoy every one as you travel around the forum.

Shut the front gate! Sounds like a lecture doesn't it Blueshaz. It is not meant that way, just a friendly bit of forum info and I tell you that for free. Mmmm, maybe I'm suffering heat stroke confuse

Quickly though, I have a ibis 3 aircon on my van roof and works well and also works with my Honda 20i generator, not all aircons work with a generator of that size. Might be worth a look for your Jayco.

Have fun but keep safe on the roads.

I have just fitted a Fujitsu 2.5kw domestic reverse cycle a/c to our new van.

A/c cost was $700 odd with $150 cashback for any purchase prior to August 31 2016.

Choose your own installer or do it yourself & get a plumber to sign it off.

It will run on a 1kw generator if required.

Cheers Neil
