diesel heater

Installed a diesel heater recently ( eberspacher ) wondering what others are getting out of a tank full.

We have a 10 litre tank . We had it set @ 22 overnight it went down to minus 2 outside that night so it didn't really drop back much .

it used over half a tank ? I'm wondering if that's normal . I was under the impression they ran on a thimble full .Any feed back appreciated

It kept van beautifully warm.

We have a planer deisel heater and it uses very little fuel but we don't run it as hot as you only about 15 degrees

and we find it gets to hot in bed above that temp

Hi Dragonfly

Our van is 23'6" inside I reckon ours might be working a bit harder than your van , never the less I reckon I might speak to Dometic about it , if it lasted a week I'd still be happy .

Similar to a fridge, the installation plays a big part on economy, insulation included.

We also have a Planar and a 10 litre tank would last about a week.

Minus 2 outside 22 inside all night and only 5 litres used. It is getting a workout for sure!

We had a problem with a new diesel heater using about 5 litres a night.  Turned out it was a loose joint on diesel connection and was leaking under van.  Have a 22 van, fixed problem, now use about 1 litre a night.
