You cannot bet a telescopic lens on a camera to destroy all sense of distances! I agree with your assumptions but others may not.
Believe it or not but the Toowoomba Chronicle headlines today stated that "If your young children walk to school alone parents may be breaking law"...police in Miles have already charged a parent for allowing his/her child to walk to school alone.(page 3)
So we have really lost it.
