Squamous Cell Carcinoma removed

Had an SCC removed from my scalp yesterday, and what an ugly looking thing it was floating in the specimen jar - a white lump about the size of a small cashew nut. Will be a couple of weeks before the stitches come out, and there are other areas of interest the doctor found on the skin which hopefully can be treated with liquid nitrogen to 'burn' them off. So I'm going to be here in Brisbane for a little while before saddling up again and hitting the road.

I realise this is only small beer compared with what Happywanderer and Kandagal are experiencing, and I wish both of those ladies a speedy end to the treatments they're going through.

Joe

I know where you are coming from Joe. It can be just as scary no matter what.
My son in Geelong had 3 BCC removed from his chest earlier this year. The last one was 3 attempts before they got it all.
Not sure what the difference between BCC and SCC but they all have their moments in the "I'd rather not have this" scheme of things.
Hope all goes well with the rest and can be burnt off quick.
