thankyou Goldfinger, two great entertainers. Danny Kaye was a great comedian as well. One of the forgotten entertainers I think.

Thanks for the link Goldfinger. Danny Kaye was such a versatile entertainer - like all of the greats he just make everything look so easy and natural. And Satchmo ... well, he's just Satchmo!

One thing I did notice was this clip appears to be two or more performances spliced together - the handkerchief in Danny Kaye's coat pocket magically changes position a few times. But you'd never know from just listening.

That was awesome. Thanks for posting it. As a kid, I had Danny Kayes record,..Mummy, gimme a drink a water... I knew every song word for word. Still knowmost of them. A great comedian.
