Just a quick question. I have one of those small 1.5amp solar battery trickle chargers to keep up my van battery when it's parked at home.
With no 240v connected to the van, but all wiring still on the battery, will it harm anything leaving the little solar charger on all the time? Or should I disconnect everything?

To prevent any damage from charger malfunction and to save some electricity turn charger on once a month . Better yet have a meter permanently wired in and only charge when volts below 12.8 for AGM , 12.5volt for wet type .
Its best to have a battery isolater to %100 disconnect battery from ALL items.Even solar regs battery moniters all suck amps .

1.. Not much cost saving turning a solar panel off.
2.. No quality battery charger, DC-DC charger or solar regulator "suck amps." They only "suck" a few milliamps.There is no one I know of who disconnects these devices once they are installed.

As I said before, generally battery chargers and solar regulators ,low volt disconnects can all potentially leach power out of your battery when a vans in storage etc .
Yes what I said before I was referring to a 240v charger
