Type in search on the forum page, "Andersen weight distribution hitch". I just tried it, works OK.
Their was a 20 ft van in the park with an Andersen hitch, the guy said it was great. Watched him hitch the van on, as easy as. When he drove off and turned, their was no noise.

I bought an Andersen Hitch to put on our new van as I was totally over the noise of the HR Hitch. I have now done over 3000km with it and have absolutely no regrets.
The van tracks true, maybe in part due to the Silverline Suspension, maybe to the anti sway built into the Hitch.
Whatever, I love the no noise, wish I bought one sooner.

Thanks for your replies.Got in touch with HR yesterday about the part that I need is obsolete,so the whole hitch will have to be renewed.
I have tried the Andersen spelling but I am only getting one reply but not really helpful .Just read Niel's reply sounds promising about no creeks and groans, but one of the things I am trying to get rid of is the swaying with the wind and trucks passing us ,if I went with HR it would mean more bits to connect ,more weight,more noise but with the Andersen hitch,easier,less weight no noise.All the people I have spoken to and reports I have read there seem to be no problem with them so I will keep looking and asking questions until I get to Perth and ask the agent of Andersen and HR.

Check the price on line. Same product from a Brisbane address with free postage on E-bay for less money.
They still retail the units. they still make the parts.
Actually they all fabricated parts. Apart from latest cast shank?.
You got a mate.,welder. Go for it.
I've refaced mine a coupla times.
Go to fabricators (Laser cutting) with old parts.
get new parts cut to size.
Weld. and off you go.
Probably similar cost but you can have better quality metal or thicker material.
If weights of items like that bother a person.
One of the vehicles ued is under rated. and\or overweight for the other one.
Thanks again everyone ,but we have a200 series towing a large van which both do with ease,we are on the road 24/7 so it is not easy just going to a mate and getting him to either weld up or fabricate new parts if we lived in a house I would be able to do it myself but it is a bit hard while you are traveling.What I meant by the weight factor is the HR WDH weighs close to 60kgs with drop down shank plus head plus tow ball 2x30inch bars plus cam lock not to mention sore shins backs creeks and groans grease on clothing .As opposed to the Andersen hitch weighing 25kgs plus sway control,no grease on clothes no creeks and groans much more aesthetic looking and the peoples recommendation and what I have read so far seem to be very positive so I think I will go with the Andersen hitch.
I use the "Anderson System" and think it is great! We tow a 2700kg van and have absolutely no trouble with the hitch, doesn't mone and grone when turning and doesn't need to be un-hitched when reversing up our drive. Have tried with and without the hitch, but wouldn't be without it on a trip.
