Hot water problem 2007 Jayco conquest

Whilst on 240 volt heating hot water the pump started running and hot water spewed out of an overflow. I switched the 240 off water continued to run out with the pump running emptying my main storage tank. Any ideas. Thanks

What was the overflow you are referring to? Is it a tube that comes out of the bottom of the van?

We need more info, What model heater is fitted? Did you open the access door and see where the water is coming from around the heater? It sounds like the cylinder may have split or the safety overheat/overpressure valve has packed it in.

We have a Girard  continuous hot water runs on gas and 12v once we got it adjusted right it is terrific ,we catch flowing water until it gets hot and pour back into tanks.

Why didn't you turn the pump off? Why turn the 240v off. We don't run the pump when we are on 240v - and tap water - no need. Is it that you couldn't turn the pump off - did it just start by itself?
