Aldi are selling these for $499, l know a similar units are alot more price wise. Not sure how good they are , lm hoping that any nomads that own one could leave comments on how they found their unit

One good thing I found with Aldi if it breaks just take it back. They normally build to a good rate of quality control.

We've had ours for nearly two years.  No problems, just set it for 0 degrees and your beer is cold.  We have used it over 30,000kms and 180+ nights travelling. It travels in the back of the car and connect it to caravan when in camp. Lengthened the 12 volt cable to reach from car to caravan.

Looks like a rebadged Waeco,  I think most Waeco fridges are much the same so look up the data on any for issues with them.  Rob
