Never heard of such thing have used Google and the only thing that come up a student is able to apply for living away from home allowance . If you could post some more information would be good .
Why I was asking because I was talking a 75 year old lady the other day and in passing she mentioned that she gets a living alone allowance. I know that she lives alone and is on the age pension so hence the question.
Single pension has we know is larger than half a married pension , So this person may have been on a married pension and their partner move on and now on a single pension which more than half a married pension
This is not the place to ask. Ring Centrelink. If the allowance (or any other) exists they will advise you. They don't go out of their way to hide things these days.
Oh, and please report back your answer.

Maybe she is meaning the Widow Allowance. You must be a lady of course and be born before 1st July, 1955 and not have been in the workforce for a particular time before you can apply for this.
I guess it is something for 60 to 66 year old ladies who haven't been in the workforce to apply for up until they reach pension age. The age pension is more money though once you hit that age.
