Satellite receiver Strong 4664x

Hi all. Also new to site..have a tech question about strong srt 4664x sat receiver. 12v 240v can we still use with dish and connect to a satellite. I also have a 240v altech which is better. I heard strong obsolete if so I would have to get inverter for the altech. Hoping to sort for next free camp. Thanks in advance...

Strong were the best with old style Sat SYstem. I had several.

I don't think they used with latest though?

The quality of tV Stations and shows though.
I don't even bother anymore.
NETFLIX through laptop/Tablet when in reception (Wi-Fi ) areas
Otherwise I have a few SD'S and a 2 terra HDD with over 200 movies and TV Shows.

Never bother with tv now. It's 98% crap on a good day.

Hi and welcome Frankie

I think you will have to go to the VAST system now and that will probably mean buying a new decoder.

I bought a system recently from Satplus in Qld and I found John the owner to be extremely helpful with information and advice.

Other members on here also talk very highly of Access Antennas in Perth.

Give either of them a call and they should set you right.

Check that those units will still work on the VAST system before purchasing the inverter. If you have to purchase new equipment you may be able to get 12 V equipment.
