Gday...
The external filter I use on the van was leaking a little bit this morning. So I decided to investigate.
I have been using this filter for the past six years, changing the filter cartridge inside every six months without fail.
The filter I just removed and replaced this morning has only been in use since late July 2016 - not even three months.
The 'old' cartridge has never been anything but a slightly dull white when I remove it ... but this morning this is what I found ! !
This photo shows the old filter cartridge on the left (as if you couldn't see that ) .... with the new, replacement filter cartridge on the right.
The source of this filthy water ??? .... could only be Mareeba Rodeo ground water or here at Rubyvale
They are the only "van" parks I have been in needing to connect the hose and filter.

you shouldn't drink any jules, the more the filter is blocked the better job it does until no water comes out the other side
