Well I finally got to get away and take Rhonda for a run. Went to Dryandra Woodland (25km north of Narrogin in SW Western Australia) for the weekend. All went smoothly with no hiccups. Can't wait to get out again in 2 weeks.

Horizons - I stayed at the Lions Dryandra Village. They have a number of Nissan timber huts with 2 or 3 bedrooms and sleep 8 to 12 I think. They also have dorm style accom. Only one other motorhome there so no, not crowded at all. They don't normally allow caravans or motorhomes at that site. Made an exception that weekend. Sometimes its who you know , not what you know. Newhorizons, there is a couple of campsites about 20 kms away but not sure what they are named. Probably in camps book but haven't looked them up yet.
Thanks for your comments Ralph. Now that I'm actually getting away for weekends, its starting to feel a bit more real.
Thanks, Ray. I do know of the village but was looking for somewhere to camp nearby. Sounds like you were lucky to be allowed to. I didn't realise you'd already explained that in your blog. Maybe you're talking about Congelin Dam.
I just googled it and Dunmowin has written about Dryandra campsite back in 2014. Its now on my list of places to go but would be better when the mornings warm up a bit......isn't that the coldest part of WA!
Newhorizens yes it was very very cold. It is near Wandering which is often the coldest overnight temp in WA. I'm in Collie which isn't much (if any) warmer. Roll on Summer.
