Yes the Abdominal Snowman has gone, disappeared, gone completely.
I beat the b.........d. I kicked it's a......e.
My Oncologist is just as happy as I am. Doesn't want to see me till I come back up in March when I will have a pet scan and catch up with Dr Lane again.
What great news Marj. Have a great trip down south. We will be moving to Boonooroo (as permanents) in early Feb. Maybe you can call & visit when you come back north. I still have lots of medical appointments - eye specialist at Royal Bris. Womens Hospital next week, Heart specialists at Nambour hospital mid Nov., Oncologist Tuesday week (& then every 3 months for a year) Ortho specialists (to check on damaged knee) this afternoon at Bundaberg hospital. As you can see my life orbits around medical facilities. Maybe I could write a book reviewing them all when I finish. All the best Alice & Keith
I have just bought a lotto ticket in the big one for Saturday night. Fingers crossed.
Yes I know where that is Alice. Will see you in the next few days anyway. Was leaving tomorrow but now baby sitting the kids in Saturday night so will see you Sunday or Monday.
Thanks to everyone for your support and well wishes which helped get me through this.
Marj, I am going by train to Narangba to stay with friends over W/E as I have an appointment with eye specialists at Royal Brisbane Women's hospital on Monday. (Contract between Qld Health & local private eye specialists in Bundaberg area has run out & new one not negotiated yet) Will not be back to Bundaberg until Thursday - first day I can get a train from Nambour (will spend 2 days with daughter in Maroochydore). You keep safe on your travels. Regards Alice

You don't need a Lotto ticket - you have already won a whole lot more than a lotto prize. Enjoy yourself.
This reinforces the saying "Cancer is a word, not a sentence". Well done. My wife has Ovarian cancer. Her diagnosis was not good, the average life expectancy from her state was 1year. Three years down the track she is still going, better than ever. The stuff she is taking as a maintenance dose knocks her around a bit, but the alternative is much worse...
