Hi,

I think you would enjoy painting more than crochet !!

Best thing is to go to a Op Shop or Library and get a learn to draw book. Not learn to paint.

Then draw something in light pencil. Then paint in your drawing making sure to hide the out lines.

After about 6 of these, paint only and you will be surprised at your advancement.

You can buy paints / sKetch books cheaply at dollar type shops and also buy some oil pastels. These are great for learning as you can shadow...alter.. by smudging / shading.. with your finger.

Art is  not a given talent....its like anything done well ...PRACTICE....then you will evolve a style of your own!

I taught my daughter the same way and now she is in demand in Brisbane for her wonderful murals in many restaurants etc ..  see pic. She just finished this for a Mexican place...  You don't need luck just perseverance and appreciation of your love of art.  Cheers.    Petersarahs pic .....mural at Mexican ....Milton..jpg
