RE: High Flow Diesel

Oh boy, this looks like going the same way as electrical threads, a question is asked and the question is answered then 150 people chip in with the same answer (sometimes) but worded differently to fill page after page then going off ion tangents to the original question.  Gotta love it. biggrin

I always thought that the "Not for SUV or car" signs were so the high flo pumps would be left for the trucks.
I don't care which I use (Troopie with 2 80l tanks) as I'm never in that much of a hurry. I'd hate to hold up a working truck.

Happy travels :)

Ever been on the road and tried to pull into those big service centres with no space and the pumps are packed tight with cars would you not rather face that Hassel and move into a nice huge almost empty truck section, all you need is enough common sense not to squeeze the trigger to hard, I have never had any trouble with the truck ies just good conversations.

the sign is there to stop idiots from pulling the trigger to hard and to cover the servos backside...

Hi Hi flow diesel is set up for trucks as in most cases they are putting large ammounts of fuel in imagine how long it would take to put 2000 litres in using the small diameter hose also some 4x4 suv don`t have a large enough filler to fit the hi-flow gun in same diesel different way to fill.

I have found that there's two large diameter truck nozzles ones big the other is bigger most service centre truck refuelling centres we have come across have the smaller nozzle it's much bigger than the standard car nozzle but fits most tugs no probs and my fourby can fit both, but the larger one goes in with minimal clearance ,just pump it in steadily no probs....
