Running generators on LPG

Anyone have experience with running their generator on LPG? It would save carrying an extra drum of fuel offset by carrying extra LPG maybe cheaper etc depending on what you read. Link below http://survivingdoomsdaythebook.com/run-your-gasoline-generator-on-propane-gas/

Individual HEAVY\BULKY storage.
NOT really worth it. a few have tried.

If you not in a large camp with a few taking part. Not really viable

Hi,smile

From my past experience of many years ago fixing small engines, the conversions are big and bulky and klunky. Work OK but why bother ? The cost of a bought conversion will stop you for sure.

If you bought a quality engine it will use much less fuel as they run more efficently ! Look at the power loading so it runs loaded well for a shorter time rather than wasting fuel just idling for hours. The neighbours will bless you too.biggrin
