Beam me up!

Hi All,

I have just become an official grey nomad, no my hairs been grey for years, but I purchased with my dear partner a VW Transporter (hence Startrek ref). We want to start traveling early in the new year with our 3 furkids. We would like to do a few short trips to get used to it. Any suggestions are welcome, we live in the Shoalhaven NSW.

G'day Tiffsy, and welcome to the forum.  Plenty of great advice and folks on here. We're based in WA so will wait for others to give advice on short trips.

Welcome to the gang Tuffsy, enjoy here and out in the playground.

"Suggestions" Anywhere in the playground is great. Over in your part of the playground is very good too and I tell you that for free smile

Keep Safe on the roads and out there.

Hi guys welcome to the forum, one thing you will certainly get lots of here is good advice. Can't advise you much on short trips on the South Coast as we live on the north side of that great urban sprawl. From my experience of the Shoalhaven area I would probably just put my feet up and enjoy it - happy travelling. We just had a great few days on a shakedown trip to Hawks Nest but for you guys on the south coast that's probably a little bit too far.

Hi Tuffsy,

we are at Gerringong.

Get yourself down to Yadboro Flat if you like primitive camping (with the additional luxury of long drop toilets).

Plenty of great spots between here and Vicco.

cheers

Steve

Hello Tuffsy

A welcome from me also

Unfortunately I am in the West, and have only been through your area once, so I really can not recommend anywhere

I am sure that other, more experienced travellers will come along, with some good recommendations

Wherever you decide to head for, I hope that you have many happy road trips

Hey, thanks for the kind welcome.

Actually you might be able to recommend somewhere on the Central Coast to stay. My relos live in Saratoga and I can't see too many options for a campervan.
