Ahh what it shows is the centre pipe often is removed WITH filter . When new filter is put back in without centre pipe . The new filter can collapse and restrict oil to engine . With catastrophic results on Diesel engine . $20k to repair ., Just make sure the centre pipe is there when fitting new filter ..https://www.facebook.com/Lowesautorepairs/videos/1186878608028366/

I realise this happens but what I don't understand is that if it restricts oil flow to the engine then why doesn't the low oil pressure light come on or the oil pressure bypass circuit allow the flow of oil?
Yes I know .. But trust me it happens even when pro's do it ! Please don't shoot the messenger ., There's some dumb out there !! World of PC and cotton wool world .,

Hi Aus-Kiwi,
I don't use live rounds, But if the Pro's do servicing like that. Then you are going to scare the pants off a few who get their tugs serviced by them. Plus the top $$$ they pay them as well. They should try getting their hands dirty, They might even have some fun.
When I was in West Germany pre wall (fence only) in Berlin.
Mate's posted there.
Western Guards were issued with the .30's and clips of RUBBER bullets.
to fire at the Eastern European. NOT German. B----s
shooting women and kids trying to get over .
East Germans would not shoot their women and kids.
some of our lads used to go to Army camps in UK when on leave
and get a coupla clips of 172gn, copper coats to use instead.
File tips off and drill hole down the centre.
That sorted a few out
And his luey looked other way with a smile.

Not quite sure how to read that.....not something that I thought British soldiers would do.....pub talk?
It's got me bugged why you would want to remove the centre pipe!
Has anyone cut a hole in the "bash plate" under the filter on a 200 TTD? 120mm hole is all that is required, weld on a couple of lugs and techscrewed back in place!
I am thinking of doing that at next service. Will save heaps of time to change filter at services, and be less conspicuous when doing services whilst on the road.

love to hear your thoughts.
Cheers.
Hetho.
Hi Hetho,
I like to be discrete while changing mine too. I fitted a fumato valve to mine as well, push on 13mm tube and turn it on. Drains straight into my 15lt Ex acid drum over night, screw the lid back on. Good to go in 15 minutes for oil change with filter.
PS : I tack welded four 6mm x 20mmthreded bolts drilled 2mm holes in each to accommodate 4 x 60mm R clips to hold the cover plate in place.
And I don't even work for Mr Toyo YET.
Cheers Jim

Not pub talk. Would you stand there on watch and throw rubber tips at them?
Just a comment on rubber bullets from another person. With a little story behind it.
He also showed me the coupla clips he was taking back to camp. Some were pretty young and volatile. Specially with the Easterners in the early '60's. Having been all born during and b4 the war.
A different world in those days. Just starting to get half civilised again.
plus. Remember that for the prev 5 1\2 yrs.
Everybody in uniform had been doing nothing more.than. Basically
shooting other people.
