R.V's on a roll in the US

This short Video was posted to me by a Member who, unfortunately prefers to stay silent these days,

It's amazing how many RV's are hitting the road in America, just have a look at the assembly line................

Sure wish we were in the States, and had the money to buy. disbeliefdisbeliefdisbelief

I don't know the legalities of self importing RV's from the States but this mob in the Good ol US of A, They  sell quite a few if their website is true 2500 + in 2016.

Check out the cost of them I looked at Diesel version Motorhomes. I started at the cheap end.

A lot for your money. The CMCA Wanderer magazine has an ad for the Tiffin Allegro RV. Admittedly fully Oz compliant and RH drive but at over half a million.

Mate lives over there.
Chevvy 3500 twin rears. all bells and whistles.
Top Model.
We ain't got car interiors like them over here.

Just under $40k a few yrs ago.

42 ft semi. 5th wheeler (He's an ex truckie)
goes down to Florida and deep South each winter.
Cost under $100k
Both new.

Wouldn't be much more today methink's.
Honda 2000 Genny new. $930 US. 3\4 yrs ago.

Almost had it in case for plane when I remembered voltages.
110\240.
And Honda won't let them import 240 there.
Surprise....

Just a new chevvy 2500 converted for here,
would cost you near 200k. From this end.

I do believe some are doing RHD Off the line

and conv nowadays though?.

But. When you look at what we have on our market.

If cashed up and wanting a serious LEGAL towing rig.
That's the way to go.

Just don't go near shopping centres,
They a truck in disguise.

Back in the day I showed dogs for many years. When we went away for a few days showing, we would mostly tent it or stay in a cabin in a C.P. You would hardly ever see anyone with a motor home. I lived in Florida for a couple of years. We went to a dog show while I was living there. I couldn't believe my eyes! not a tent in sight. Everyone had beautiful R.V'S all fitted out with carry compartments ( air conditioned of course) for their dogs. Each Winter there was always a convoy of "snow birds" heading South for the Winter in their beautiful motor homes.
