Pretty clever though. Back a few years in Sweden and other countries car owners had to have 2 sets of tyres - one with studs for winter and a normal set for summer.

Good Luck.

50 odd yrs ago we normally ran two sets wheels.
one summer tyres. one set winter\deeper tread with studs.
Even now I have H\T tyres on Mags on d-max. for running about
with a set of Steelies and Bridgy 697's, 10pr. for towing and dirt.

Don't do offroad or beach.

It's only sensible.
You can buy H\T's and rims on E'bay for near zilch.
I bought mine from local tyre dealer.

They came std with a Ford ute.
He drove straight round to tyre place and fitted A\T's.
these with 4ish km's, cost me $100 each fitted.

and mag's from Melb for $220 del.
Also new (45ish km's.) from a Navara.
Swapping to steelies.

Bought a set of 693's a few yrs ago off Ebay. $470 a set. done under 1000kms.
They turned out to be a house just behind us.
his son bought, then wanted to change to muddies.
10 min's with trailer. job done.

Look. It's often worth it. No matter what you want.
