Hot Water system.

Can anyone tell me what size Generator is needed to drive the hot water system please? I have a 2kva that will run the Air Con, it wont run the Hot water system.

thanks

I'm sorry but you will have to check the manual or the water system itself to see what the power draw is for your hot water system.  Until you know that you cannot work out how much in the kva terms you would need.

Our system draws about 5 amps. The 2KVA will do the trick for you. Suggest you give it a try, if the genny starts to cough and splutter give it a few moments to get its goodness together or turn it off if it gets too serious. It wont hurt the genny unless its an ebay special.

Suggest you let the genny warm up first, my honda stalled when I tried to start it on load (really a dumb thing for me to do).

Cheers
