Hi everyone and I hope you had a great Australia Day celebration
I discovered a percular drainage situation with my 150ltr 3 way fridge internal drain outlet. The water from the internal cooling fins drain to a tube at the back of the fridge that runs down the van with no visable outlet. The water actually drips at the rear of the wheel arch onto at the galvanised side bottom frame rail then onto the ground.
All you see is water dripping.
Given the limited water volume and frequency that this would occur, should I be concern or is this a normal drainage design.
I would appreciate your thoughts on this?
regards
Rob

The water does drain from the fins into the tray then to the tube that runs outside of the fridge.
Thanks
Rob
As Neil said it runs into a drip tray on the rear of the fridge as per the diagram at : https://www.caravansplus.com.au/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=11764

I probably wasn't clear enough in what I said.
I meant..... water drains from the fins to a channel at the rear of the cabinet, thence via a hose to OUTSIDE the fridge to a "small tray at the rear (outside) where it evaporates.

If the fridge has been running for some time it will build up a fair amount of ice and frost on the internal fins. In the case if the power is turned off be it 12v or 240v,the fins will defrost. The water drips into the tray at the rear of the unit and is piped out via a thin to a collection tin on the rear lower outside of the unit. Often the collection tin or pan will completely fill and run over.Best idea is to extend the pipe to exhaust through the fins of the air vent or drill a hole through the floor and feed the pipe through.
My dometic vents to the ground via a tube (same as above) no major problems as long as it doesnt block up. I use a bit of electrical wire to clear that one.
Cheers
