Hi everyone

John has this posted up on his blog. Catch him on facebook only these days

The last post.

Having spent the last 5.5 years since January 2011 letting the world into my personal life via this blog it is time to call it a day, the blog with remain but the updates will cease. My adventures will continue and my enthusiasm for life is undiminished, camping is still a priority. I expect to spend more time camping my wife and we have booked another cruise in November.

I thank those who have followed my travels over the years for their interest and encouragement and would like to let those who are interested know that I am getting more confident with the scooter and now can set it up on its stand unaided. I have ridden it around the Gold Coast and whilst not overly confident now do not have to force myself to ride it, infact am starting to enjoy riding it.

I will keep my Facebook Timeline up to date with locations and travelling companions if anyone wants to catch up when nearby. Below is a photo of my latest business card as another means of communication.

Regards
FRank

John Riley is his FB name, Frank.  He has gotten rid of the scooter(thank heavens, worried about him on it), and now has an inflatable boat, so he is travelling and looking for places to use it in northern NSW or SE Qld.

How are you guys going, don't see you on here much.

Hi Jules,

I am still here, posting now and then but nowhere near as often as I used to.

Thanks for the fb name I was not sure if he had another name just for fb as some do.

We are going well, loving retirement and currently waiting on a great grandson to appear in early June before we head for WA for our first time in the west.

Hope you are doing ok too. I do read your posts and replies.

Really busy doing other stuff around the house and with SES.

take care

Frank

Sounds like a big year Frank - we will be in WA later this year - hopefully a meet up at Seabird with a few others - if you are around, keep an eye out on the Get Togethers section.

Congrats on the upcoming great grandparenthood - take care.

Thanks for your interest and the replies, I have been looking for camp sites where a boat can be launched and beached near the Coaster but they are few and far between unless you can pay caravan park fees.

I am still on the road and currently camping at Ellenborough with Billeee and Jules, dental issues will take me to the Gold Coast early March and after that possibility spending time at Copeton Dam. We have been advised of a free camping area at the House side of the dam opposite the camps nominated by WikiCamps and Camps Australia Wide, we have been camping next to a local from that area.

May will see me once more at the Nimbin Mardigrass followed by the Peace Festival at Palm Beach and that is as far ahead as I have planned.

CYA on the road,

John.
