Hello techies, 12 volt pump. we need another water pump. Can anyone tell me is there a difference in the operation of a pump that is 3.5 psi and 3.8 lpm and a pump that is 3.5 psi and 3.3 lpm. or should we buy one that is exactly the same. Thanks

You sure about the pressure and lpm as they are low,,, probably for fresh water application only. Low flow and minimum lift.

 Hello bagmaker, yes, those figures r on old pump. Only used to pump water around van.

There are all sorts.
I have one which is 2 LPM at 55 psi. Looks just like a small Shurflo.

3.5 psi is about lung pressure.......
from a heavy smoker even ....

 Yes they do look rather odd. Are you putting a decimal point in where it should not be? Any of the models on this page should do you.

I guess one is pressure and the other is volume.. On pump specs ?You need atleast 20Lb pressure to make shower etc work properly .. Plus you need so much volume to make the pressure.. As pressure is a restriction of flow..

Nope. 6psi is enough for a shower (and uses lots less power)........... and the OP may not even need that much if he does not have one.

That one is max 35psi and max 12.5L/min. At max 7A it is relatively power hungry.

I would think that it would draw a lot less than 7A running and up to max only when approaching the shut off pressure,,, so not too bad Peter.
