Have spent the last month travelling around Western Victoria just being a gypsy. No plans in particular other than seeing many of the out of the way places I have not been to before. Much of the time I have had no idea where I will be tomorrow. Many days it really has been a case of choosing left or right at intersections. Have not had any problem finding places to stay and have come across some some great campsites by accident. I have also come to really appreciate the many small towns that are trying to help themselves by helping the traveller out with somewhere to stay.
Cheers, John.

Thanks Rocket, yes a great time is being had, that's for sure.
Yesterday, I parked the van up inland and did a loop driving along the great ocean road from Lorne to Lavers Hill. The section along where the bushfires were last summer looked pretty bleak. Being school holidays, Lorne was chock o block full of people, difficult to walk along the footpath. The road from Lavers Hill to Colac is a beautiful drive through the jungle covered hills - a dense mix of pines, gums and fernery. Will move the van and then drive the other half of the great ocean road soon.
Cheers, John.
