Could any gas fitter or plumber advise the requirements for gas heater flue under an opening window of a caravan - preferably quoting the reference to AS5601.2 2013

That's what I thought Peter, Thanks - but to get a copy of the Aust Standard is proving difficult my water heater flue is directly below window so fumes coming in sleeping area if I heat on gas.

I cannot provide the requirements, however I can give you are example. We have 23' Jayco Outback with full slide out. Consequently the gas heater has been placed under the seat on the door side of the van.
The flue is under the window that is obstructed by the door when it is open. The plumber was required to install a kill switch on the gas unit that connected to the window. So in situation if the window was open and the gas heater on the switch will close down the heater. We needed this requirement to enable a plumbers certificate to be issued.
caravansplus have some information on gas installations for caravans and mobile homes, also a link to reg's from office of gas safety.
