Caravan Suspension

Hi all, long time no see

just like to put something out there to you, looking at purchasing new van which they say is a semi off road van so therefore on the Alko independent suspension they have only fitted one shocker to each wheel leaving one mounting point empty. Is this a smart thing to do leaving four shockers off or just a sneeky cost saver.

Cost and usage mate.

Bitumin only.
One on each wheel probably fine.
Corrugations onwards. 6 on each wheel is about right.
Plus a coupla big airbags.
OH. and a pr of wings to float it too hey.

It's the MFG and model of shockers that's more to the point.

Bilstein. Koni, and air shocks top of ladder,
EFS. Pedder, and others further down, but do do the job.

The cheaper ones. You could put 10 on each wheel and still come up short.

Me. I use EFS. they loove corrugations.
And never had a bad one in over 15yrs.

Sorry Spelling.
