Married 50 + Years...

After being married for 50 years, I took a careful look at my wife one day and said, "Fifty years ago we had a cheap house, a junk car, slept on a sofa bed and watched a 10-inch black and white TV, but I got to sleep every night with a hot 23-year-old girl.

Now ... I have a $750,000 home, a $45,000 car, a nice big bed and a large screen TV, but I'm sleeping with a 73-year-old woman. It seems to me that you're not holding up your side of things."

My wife is a very reasonable woman.  She told me to go out and find a hot 23-year-old girl and she would make sure that I would once again be living in a cheap house, driving a junk car, sleeping on a sofa bed and watching a 10-inch black and white TV.

Aren't older women great?

They really know how to solve an old guy's problems!

I got a chuckle out of it, as it is an oldie, but a goodie

smile I think that Mrs Beaton once said, "if you wish to make a pie with a 23 year old, then first you must catch your 23 year old." or words to that effect smile

Yeh we all have some interesting romantic stories when we wind our memory banks back. In 1954 I was 14 and waiting at the Thrall street bus stop in Innaloo, and I sore this gorgeous chick waiting for the bus. I said to my mate Don, who's that? and he said that's Val, Les's sister and I decided there and then that I was going to meet her. The following Frid night at the Fiesta picture theater, I was on the top floor and Val was with her friend Jill on the bottom floor. During interval I was rolling up Fantail Lolley papers and landing them on top of Val and Jill. I went down stairs and introduced myself. Long story short we married in 1960 and 3 son's latter are still madly in love 63 years after the event. Sorry if that is a bit sloppy for a tough 77 year old, but I apologies.

Hey Auss.

We Only think.. we're a tough old anything.
Once we get over 70.

I carried muscle all my life. but last coupla yrs.
After retiring from racing the Outriggers.

just watched it drop off. and all this soft floppy stuff round the middle take over.

Lots heavier. lots slower. no wind. and stairs (14) don't like me anymore.
At christmas I went up\down 10 times and not even out of breath.
(Just checked occasionally.)

Yesterday. 4 times/. Where's my coffee.
Pool, Normally 30 laps. then another 10 b4 getting out.
and still cruising.

This week. 10\12 laps and puffing. with a shoulder that don't like me.

AND.... I'm only 75...(spring chicken almost)

Don't push me OK. I'll fall over.

PS.

That Avatar ain't me.  He's better looking.
