Roof protection

I'd like to apply some sort of protectant / sealer to the roof of our 'van while it's still fairly new. Can anyone recommend a good product? I've seen ad's for Elixir Plas-T-Cote but not sure if it's the right stuff. Any advice appreciated.

Check out Thermoshield. Cuts down heat quite a bit as well as a good protective paint.

What type of roof ? Mine is rubber . In my case I treated it with two coats of membrane then thermoshield or similar .. Since then I wax with a bees wax solution I make at home . Just spread it over roof and don't polish off .. The water just runs off roof now .. I've done much the same with steel / alloy roof without the membrane.. The wax is a mix of bees wax, Linseed oil , vasoline, kerosene, and turps ..Heeated bees wax and added carefully .. Check YouTube ..

It's the usual rubber type roof cover (white textured material, so I assume it's rubber). What type/brand membrane have you used?

Yes I got quotes to replace it with alloy ..sheesh !! I used a product like pages.ebay.com/link/
I talked to supplier about being UV or outside sun protection . These products are used on pools etc outside.. This is what I used .. goes on cloudy to clear .. Then painted with water based UV protected paint .. Mine is an 07 model . Just wanted to keep things from failing in future .. It looks like a new rubber roof ..
