Get rid of this bloke for good.

''Australian'' tennis player Nick Kyrgios has had another meltdown (how many is that now, we've lost count). Australian tennis would be far better off without the embarrassment of this unsporting idiot.

Banning him for life would be the only logical decision. We're tired of his pathetic antics & excuses. angered.gif angered.gif

The rot in Australia tennis started with Lleyton Hewitt....many "admired" that spoilt brat and he unfortunately became mentor/roll model to the following generation of tennis aspirants.....little doubt he tells these new brats they are doing well.....to attempt to gain their support for ailing Australian Davis Cup chances.......unfortunately our next generation of players are now seeing these embarrassing Australian clowns antics as the new normal.....

Pat Rafter should have been the mentor/role model...however Australian tennis pandered to Lleyton the spoilt brat and his antics...he won about as many tournaments as that other overblown former Aussie, Greg Norman....legends created by media and not necessarily by their achievements......................

Like most Australians we now admire overseas tennis champions rather than these dummy spitters with form for all the wrong reasons....Hoo Roo

the rules of tennis need changing. If your racquet breaks during the course of play while you are hitting the ball you can change it for another. But if it breaks outside of play (when a player deliberately mis-uses it) then the set must be continued with the broken racquet. Bet that would stop these ugly displays of bad temper.

This thread is much better suited to and should be in the 'I digress' section. Nothing what soever to do with what this GN Forum is actually about.

Should be moved.

 Totally agree Doug.

This forum seems to be going downhill once again with lots of nonsense unrelated to the main objective.

Where ever the thread goes, my view is:-

If I was in charge of Australian Tennis, I would rather lose the Davis Cup or Hoffman Cup or other events than have this GALAH embarrass our great country on the International stage.

Children.....

Best thing the WORLD can do.
is just ignore the tantrums of that spoilt little brat.
Hopefully soon forgetting where he comes from.

I remember that brat Hewit at 17.
Lived on my Yacht down in Adel in those days.
Spoilt had nothing on it. He and his dad.
Thought he was god.

The ONE time he did hold No 1. For a week I think it was.
IF you check back to then.
From memory. ALL the good ones were out with Injuries.
Jeez,.

The scruffy little fart ain't even man enuff to grow a proper beard yet.
Just a bit of bum fluff.

macka17 your spot on lol, and there's many others just like the spoilt brat, even in other sports eg., footy, I picked Cousins out as a crazy upstart right from go, and watching all his fans loving him display his antics, calling him a legend, yeah wtg Ben your da man, your da legend they would say lol. Today When I see a man that is masculine I can't help but notice it as they are far and few between and have been for some time....bring back the day of the man and masculinity :).... Kisha.

Probably should have been in I digress but I can't let Mackas comments pass without some sort of response.

Leyton Hewitt was ranked the world No.1 for 75 consecutive weeks and at 20 years of age was the youngest male tennis player to achieve that ranking. I would be a little surprised if the "good ones" had been out injured for that length of time. The difference between Leyton Hewit and Nick Kyrgious is that Hewitt was a world beater Kyrgious only thinks he is.

Let us not forget Doug that it was not too long ago that you were posting monthly updates of your boring uneventful life in this section of the forum. What interest to the average GN did that hold for the rest of us except for your mates?

That's not nice.    I find Doug's posts very informative.   Better than going to a bird picture blog.

Not only not nice but nasty to boot.

Kyrgios and Tomic are both national embarrassments. If anyone behaved in the workplace, like these two morons, they would be sacked. I don't understand why they are not suspended for lengthy periods or why their sponsors stay with them. Why would you have your product associated with these imbeciles.

I remember Ilya Nastase, Jimmy Connors and John McEnroe were quite arrogant and loud. However, they used to win or a regular basis, not like these two oafs.

Margaret Court. I listened to a show on the ABC a couple of years back and they were talking about Margaret Court. She won 64 Grand Slam titles, with 24 of them being singles as well as being the first woman to take the Grand Slam. She was a natural left hander who was convinced by her coach to play right handed. She spoke about going on tour with just a spare tennis racquet and being billeted at a local tennis club when competing in the major events overseas.

Just imagine what she would do to these grunting, screaming prima donnas of today's tennis. I remember the commentator asking Lesley Turner (one of her doubles partners) if the women tennis players used to make those noises back in their day. Lesley Turner replied that they did, but that it generally occurred a few seconds after Margaret had put one straight through them.

After all this time, money, entourages, trainers, coaches et al, no one has got near her record. She is the person that I would listen to if I wanted to know anything at all about tennis.

I don't agree with her opinion however she earnt my respect "serving" it up to the 'Common Tatoes' on the Project recently....they attempted to belittle her, poke fun at her ideas/opinion.....what a grand lady...she stood her ground and hit every ball straight back...they had no idea what they had encountered....she won the match if not the argument....she has principles and she stood by them....Australia could do with many more 'Margaret Courts'.....should that Stadium be Margaret Court Courts'.....or perhaps Tina Arena Arena....?...Hoo Roo

I don't watch that show. There are two words that they never use. Hint: One begins with "I" and the other with "M".

Meh . . . unfortunately NK is currently the best of the worst we have. Just wait for the next entitled generation. They will demand safe spaces on the court. Safe spaces from the referees.

There has been a suggestion that this topic is best suited to the I digress section, I am reasonably certain that it is actually in the I digress section. anyway what does it really matter.
