Does anyone know if when the system activates, do the LED's on the indicator module come on or flash or give any indication that the system is activating? I have read the user manual, and it says two greens system is good, reds, minor fault, flashing red major fault.
I know the module is mounted on the A frame, and that you would have to run fast to see if the lights are flashing, but one could always install a tempory camera there to see what is going on.
Not answering your question directly... and I'll probably get flamed for suggesting it... but I've tested mine by giving the steering wheel a single, sharp yank one way at 50km/h. The van brakes slammed on momentarily once, which was confirmation enough for me. Obviously an appropriate, out of the way location was chosen.
Cheers,
Steve
Thanks Barboots, I have read somewhere that if it comes on you will know, yet in the manual it says the brakes will be gently applied until the van stabilizes.
I just put the question up to see if someone had the answer.
I have ALKO ESC - It's certainly not gentle when it comes on. Mine activates going around corners - I believe that it is a fault ALKO technician allegedly advised dealer it's OK.

We have ALKO ESC on our van. It has activated when driving over an angled creek crossing. I guess the twist/turn effect of the crossing simulated the start of a sway. The brakes came on for about 2 seconds and then disengaged. As this was on a dirt road, the wheels probably slipped a bit, reducing the impact. I understood the lights were just to enable you to tell that the system was connected correctly at hook-up. Unless the connection fails, there should be no reason to monitor them on the go. I don't think the lights change when the system activates. I don't recall seeing any such change when the system was demonstrated at caravan shows (the only time you can watch the lights when the system activation is simulated). Cheers
