I am a newby to the forum but have 15 years experience travelling the 'best' roads Australia has to offer (Tanami Track, Plenty Hwy, Hahn Hwy, The Binns Track, the Urandangi Road to Tobermorey etc.) to the most remarkable of destinations. The one state that has escaped my detailed 'inspection' is Western Australia although I have visited Broome twice and Cape Leveque, which remain as one of my most memorable experiences.
I am aged 69 years old, and separated, living in Innisfail Far North Queensland. I retired in 2015 after 29 years in the financial industry and 19 years as a Financial Controller. My current vehicle is a 200 Series Landcruiser towing a 21'6" Kedron ATV caravan complete with all the comforts of home ( a big bitch but very comfortable.)
If you are reasonably healthy, don't mind conversation over a glass or two of wine around a campfire and enjoy company with a like minded individual, please indicate so to nwass@exemail.com.au. Otherwise if you need to hear my dulcet tones with a view to discerning some compatibility, my mobile number is 0407 544 169.
I am looking for female companionship only (aged 55/70) so if you've just finished watching 'Wolfe Creek' then please let me allay any concerns you may have. I think I might have left it too late to travel this year, seasons will be against me. Ideally, I would like to spend 6 months travelling departing around April of next year. But I'm open to suggestions.
Head to Greens Lake in Victoria - probably from sometime in October - lots of GN's and others get together there every year for a few months - good place to meet new people - might find your travelling companion. (Look for info on Greens Lake in the Get Togethers sub forum, map and lots of photos, and posts.)

I met this couple on the road 20 months or so ago and I thought they had the perfect set up. He had a bus and she had her van.....they met on the road and just travel together and still retire to own digs etc. that'd be perfect. I couldn't share my van or space with anyone these days. Two weeks ago today, I called in to this little outback place (where I met those two ironically), and I'm still here - because I want to be....no one whining that they want to move on. Wouldn't have it any other way.
Hey I was an auditor lol. Imagine those conversations .
