Jayco Starcraft O/B Door

This has probably happened to someone else and been covered. However just a warning to be careful if you intend drilling screws in the door frame. As the door handles are a little low, it's difficult for taller people to reach when closing the door after entering the van. To overcome this problem, I placed a small chrome pull handle above the existing interior handle to pull the door shut. All appeared good until the door mechanism jammed in the open position a little later on, including unable to separate the two door components. As still under warranty, off to the RV repairer to determine the problem. Yes, you guessed, one of the screws had pinned the vertical linkage inside the door frame stopping it from actuating. Took a couple of hours and $200 later to find the cause. Expensive lesson as not a warranty issue.
