Walpeup, Vic

Can anybody tell me if the caravan park at Walpeup, Vic is still operating.  I can not find it on Wikicamps. We have driven past it many times and would like to stay there when doing the Silo Art Trail.

Thanks.

Yes they are. Maybe no one has put anything up on Wiki yet. Wiki works by us posting places etc not Wiki. I just rang the park for you but didn't sound very friendly.

Yep, Walpeup Travellers Rest is still there. Spotlessly clean amenities, friendly service, a great place to stay. We use it as a base to visit the surrounding National Parks.

Last time we stayed there we were given a free bag of oranges freshly picked off the ladies tree.

We've stayed there 3 times for a week each time. Please pay your fees as there are lots of people that sneak in & out without paying.

Here's some photos we took.

Enjoy!2012_0712julyjune0078.jpg2012_0712julyjune0078.jpg2012_0712julyjune0076.jpg2012_0712julyjune0077.jpg

Looks and sounds like a good little place - reasonable pricing, and relatively new amenities, by the look of it.

Have to see if it is in the Free/budget camp sites on this forum -
