Our thetford 3 way fridge has a mind of it's own but I think I've finally tamed it. I've discovered that when it's running on AC power and I disconnect the power for a few short minutes it forgets what it's supposed to be doing and starts to heat up Once I reconnect AC. I've discovered the way to get it back on track, operating as a fridge again, is to turn it off for about an hour then run it on gas until it gets back to 3-5 degrees again and then turn it to AC again. Trying to run it only on AC does not work. Has anyone had similar experiences?
The fridge is less than 2 years old. It works fine on AC when running. I had it checked by a Thedford agent in Rockhampton who discovered that Sunliner had not installed the flue for the gas burner. I now have a flue and it works better than ever on gas but I dont understand why a power interruption will cause the AC to not do its job. Puzzling. Also, I don't have an amp meter with me.
