I have purchaxed a Toyota campervan and vant to fit a 'box' on a frame which can swing 90degree to allow the back door to open. Have anyone some suggestions.!
Hi Sommer,
What are you intending to carry in the box? You may have to look at something like a spare wheel carrier for a 4WD.
In the early 80s, I made a wheel carrier for my MQ Nissan - the hinge was a cut down steering box off a Ford Falcon.
Cheers,
Warren

This might help although probably much larger than you want.
Do you realise you are likely to be pinged for having that box on the back. The box obscures your lights in that the lights can not be see at angles of 45 degrees towards the middle of the vehicle.
Hi Peter.
You are spot on correct. Your comment has been on my mind so I have just been outside to have a good look and yes I will have to add some more lights above the box. The bus might soon look like a Christmas tree. So much for the checkup.
Have you thought about a stub axle? Places like trailer and chassis in adelaide are an example to purchase from. On the other end make sure you then have a seat spot where the box sits si weight is evenly distributed.
Why not put extra lights on the box and just run your trailer wire out and let it flex around the hinge. That puts lights then on rear of your vehicle and saves more mounts in your rig
