Gas stove in a Jayco Heritage

I have no gas to stove and have put the lid up , the gas heater for the water is working so the regulator is OK.

It looks like the switch for gas in the stove by raising the lid is broken or sticking, the Newhome stoves have gone out of business I just read on the internet.

Is this switch a common one or can I just clean it when I get home. Putting it into a Caravan repairer as there are two other problems TV and water.

Hope the switch can be fixed as I like the stove.

thanks norm

I think from memory our Heritage had a gas tap in the cupboard directly under the stove - might be worth a look

We used to have a Jayco had a problem once when trying to light hotplate after trying for 20 minutes, then getting hubby to change over gas bottles (in the dark) we found the problem..... the lid over the hot plate was not pushed back far enough to allow the gas to ignite(this is a safety precaution in vans) who ended up with a red face and has never lived it down since?

Gas bottle on and held the glass top back whilst I try to turn on. Looks light the micro switch is broken or stuck.

thanks for your replies
