Anyone that owns (or has owned) a Jayco Heritage will know that the front boot locks are not in anyway a secure way of securing belongings. The Key is a massive butterfly shaped chrome thingy that looks like a gun in your pocket & would lock up Pentridge, when in fact just a coin is enough to actually unlock it with ease.
Has anyone found a replacement lock (with a normal size key) that will replace these originals without any alterations to the actual boot. TIA.

We owned a Jayco Heritage van and like you found the boot keys very cumbersome. We purchased from our local dealer boot locks from a later model Jayco which fitted straight in, they weren't cheap from memory but certainly did the job, they came in a pack of two so the keys were matched.
