My cassette service door key lock latch wasn't coming out far enough to engage. Why I don't know the other lock (without key is OK). As usual I got my screwdriver out and took the lock apart, springs and other bits and pieces sprung out . I managed to recover all the bits, nothing broken but I don't know how to put it back together again and my usual search does not come up with a schematic on how it fits together. Anyone out there know where I can find one.
Hi Bryan. Don't know what your lock looks like. If its a cam lock then perhaps go to Bunnings with what you've got - the barrel and cam and see if you can just buy a new lock. I recently had to break into my power meter box which is a cam lock and bought another from the green shed for $38.
Otherwise, if your RV is fairly new, you maybe able to buy a replacement from the manufacturer or try a few RV repairers.
Other option is to take it into a locksmith and get them to re-assemble it

My van is 2013. I thought the lock casing would come out as a unit and I'd spray some silicone or something to get it going again. But the door itself is part of the casing which is why everything sprung apart when the last screw came out. If only I could a schematic I'd be able to put it back together again.
The door lock is quite easy to put together again if you remove the door and place it on the bench to work on. The pins are easy to remove from the hinges. You will need to carefully take the cover off the other catch to see the position of the springs.

Thanks but I'm hoping Thetford come back with clearer drawings. I'm all thumbs sometimes
