So back in the UK I was running an old (>10 years) LCD monitor which happened to have a 12.4v power supply (hmmm, how nice), hooked up to a Raspberry Pi for all my entertainment needs (and wants).
I brought it out with me (had Kgs to spare on the flight) but now I'm thinking a larger monitor of higher resolution would be better (my rig is going to be nicer than intended, I want to install better services than I would for just myself (for the resale value)) but I'm hampered with no websites telling you the voltage rating of their power bricks, never mind the fact that they don't mention if ac-dc and voltage regulation is on board or in line via a 'brick' on the cable.
Any recommendations for 12/24v monitors (not TVs)? TFT-LCD preferable, but I will take an OLED if the price is right.
I might just have to go be 'that' customer at JB Hi-Fi right?

Personally. I'd be looking at a good Laptop if going mobile.
Then a named. 240v Monitor, of size to suit, To link to later.
That way you KNOW you can get a GOOD quality.Picture.

or 10in Tablet and 64gig chip when mobile, with decent set of ear plugs.
Di has a 21in Samsung 240v Monitor on her Box at home.
I just drag it along. with the 300w Inverter if she's wanting a larger screen for movies etc.
Along with the Emails.
That 300w Inv. runs TV.DVD Lights and a 240v 12in fan from battery.
2 for price of one hey.
But once you start using battery power.
You looking at.
Battery\s to suit. Panels, Regulator and wiring, to suit.
Generator and 40?a AC Charger to top up on non sunny days. etc.
The minute you go away from a mains wall plug.
Another direction.
Smart TV. Link to Comp\laptop. BlueTooth. Wi-fi.
Di checks her Emails on 40in Samsung in Downstairs lounge nowadays
with a mouse and keyboard.
Don't restrict it to one usage. 2 for price of one simpler.
