There is a quick fix with the non-return valve.

However 2017 Jayco Journey is still under Warranty. Jayco replace rather than repair and from experience suffered the same problem with New Sterling Outback back in 2013 they just replaced the pump. I have had other issues in the warranty period and have dealt with several Jayco Dealers. All with same response. REPLACE as opposed to repair.

Contact/call your dealer.

That is another Jayco shortcut causing problems. Go to this link - Design Your Own RV or Caravan Plumbing System. Scroll down to the heading "4. Adding mains pressure and hot water." You will notice there are two non return valves in the system. Jayco do not include the one between the house reticulation system and the pump. They expect the valves in the pump to do the job and these have a high failure rate.

Install or get someone to install that second non return valve in the system. Replacing the pump just leaves you open to future pump failures. Search this and other forums and you will notice this fault occurring far too often.

Check what pressure the van plumbing system is designed for ? In some cases ours leaks if mains pressure is too high . I assume there should be a pressure limiting valve ? I just fill tank now and use it's own pump . Less issues .,
