Watching that hurt my knees and my back. Even so, the practitioner seemed to know some anatomy - he thumped every joint including the sacro-iliac joints. Hell - it was a heavy hammer and he wasn't sparing the hits either....
I think the 'medical miracle' is one feels so much better when he actually stops doing it to you.....makes you wonder the medical mind that made the connection that a metal hammer and a metal mallet/rock splitter would potentially be sooooooo good for one's back spine......lmao....Hoo Roo

This is what we went out in, in the mid '50's. on open deck trawlers
These are 70 ft coastal we were 110ftish open water boats.
went west of Iceland and round to Nova Scotia on good trips.
NO icemakers either. had to restock with every load of fish. dropped at quay.
COAL too. She was last steam trawler in fleet. Long skinny pencil.
Lovely old girl.
Rolled like a barrel. But ALWAYS came back up. Unlike some.
Stoker or mate. was best job on boat.
