New number plate

Can any body help,I have to reposition number plate lower,to be legal,contactEd van manufacturer and they sent new number plate surround but the wires are one white one brown.Which is positive and which is negative or does it not matter?Thanks in anticipation

Brown is for positive white is for negative . Most 12 volt wiring red is positive black is negative.

All Caravan wiring earths should be White. Some black wires in the van carry power.
