The time has come and we have just taken delivery of our Jayco Motorhome. We are on our maiden weekend on the road before our big trip that starts on the 1st December.
We have an Australian wide annexe, we have watched the dvd's and youtube videos but none of them are for attaching to an electric awning. I am hoping that we can have some expert advice from all the experienced travellers.
Scotgal, I notice no one has come back to you yet.
I haven't specific knowledge on attaching a annexe to your Electric awning - I believe the first thing would be to ascertain the maximum weight your awning can safely carry - you will then be able to determine the quality or weight of canvas you can utilise to have your annexe manufactured from.
If you cannot fit an annexe as such; consider a Gazebo type structure you can erect under your awning or use you awning as a covered walkway to your Gazebo. Checkout Oz Trail awnings and gazebos and look for units with double or four walls another option would be Pop-up tent.
If you cannot find what you want off the shelf fit vertical sail track to side of your van and have a trimmer or sail-maker make you up a three sided Awning walled unit and use tubular steel or aluminium as a support frame - attach to existing awning with Velcro strips
Hope you can get a solution that satisfies

We had the optimum , hope it goes better than our one. Never had a full annexe but our privacy screen had to be attached by Velcro. Velcro strip slides in awning track and permanently stays in track , then we attached privacy awning by Velcro on screen ,all made by Sunbuster. Still have it if your interested . As for a full annexe your hot water flue is on the awning side , OK on power but dangerous on Gas to close it in. We also have one end , which is reversible depending on which way the wind is blowing. PM me if your interested , have a few other things you might be interested in .
Cheers
