Bullfinch External Shower Head

Hi all

I have a Bullfinch External Shower system fitted to my van and it works well, but it only has a small nozzle, and while that's OK for blasting off beach sand etc, it's a bit too hard for showering.  I have thought of ways to fit a larger, gentler head, but as soon as you loosen (or remove) the trigger, or undo the rose itself, the pump runs, so bodging up another rose has been unsuccessful.

So, that said, has anyone modified a Bullfinch nozzle to a more gentle shower?  My workaround at the moment is the good old submersible.

Cheers

Bob

Can't you turn the pump off ?

Sheba.

That's where I would go Sheba.

Turn off the pump/12volt, and if you don't know where the isolator switch is to turn it off, disconnect the battery for a while.

That shouldn't cause any issues.

If it is not 12volt system, then perhaps turning off the water at the tap coming into the van, or at the tank outlet, may do the business

Hi. Thanks for the responses. I can turn off the pump, so that's not a problem. Maybe I didn't explain myself well-enough. I would like to replace the shower rose with one that has a gentler stream, but it still needs some form of trigger.

Of course this is of no great importance because I can shower inside and there's always the good old submersible and a bucket for outside.

Cheers

Bob
