As and example- we towed our new 11ft homemade van around Oz. 100amp battery, 120w roof solar, waeco cf18 small chest fridge. At night a cpap for 8 hours. Not much else. It was not enough. At mt Isa purvhased a mobile panel. Plugged it in after 3pm each day, not enough. Mounted that panel to the drawbar (90W) so it was working all day evrryday. No problems. Soon I'll ne building another van. We'll have 100amp battery, 250w roof solar, 90w mobile solar and 12v redarc 112 solonoid from the car. If all else fails on cloudy days while static just idle the car 40 minutes. Cheers Tony

hi
jab160,
Idealy 200watts or greater per 100ah battery

Its best to only use 50% batt capacity

basically 160 minimum approx. 38ah per day production , only reason to use this panel is either weight /cost /size
typically 200watts approx. 48ah production per day as a portable a little cumbersome [u are only carrying 10-15mtrs !!]
250 watts would cover your consumption easy .

Carefull brand selection of panels as the sq mtr/ area size is often smaller in ""cheaper"" panels . This is another reason why u buy a little bigger than u need . Some are approx. 50 watts smaller but still advertised as a larger panel .

There are even 300watt bi folds if that interests u .

50Ah of lithium and a 200w panel would do the job if the sun comes out every day, 100Ah of lithium and the same 200w of solar and you can last through 3 days of rain. If you use a battery built up from single cells you can add to it later to increase the capacity if you want because quality lithium cells do not suffer any degradation by adding new cells with old cells
but
you can not buy a 100Ah monoblock (looks like a normal car battery) and later add a second 100Ah monoblock battery later, you would have the same problems as mixing old lead acid batteries with new lead acid batteries.
I would recommend either 2 x 100w panels or 3 x 60w panels, shade effect is reduced by using multiple panels rather than one big panel.
