Hi
Need a bit more info
The battery Delco was it wet flooded starting battery or was it a deep cycle ??
What brand model of charger are /were u using ??
A multistage charger is better than the old school type . A big benefit is u can connect and forget them its all automatic .
Typically a AGM 100--130ah battery = 15-20amps for a single battery , 2 x 100/130ah agm at least 25amp charger
1) Did the original battery provide the amount of power you needed for the time you needed it?
2) Has your power usage increased recently?
3) Will you be happy with the same system you had before?
If it was ok before, the same type of battery will be a suitable replacement.
Where is the battery mounted? Is the current one a flooded battery? (To most of us a "normal" normal battery for a van is a VRLA battery (valve regulated lead acid - which means an AGM or GEL battery.) If it is a flooded battery and in the cabin of the van it should not have been there in the first place. If it is in a compartment ventilated to the outside air then a flooded deep cycle battery will suffice, do NOT get a starting style battery, they don't work for very long in deep cycle applications.

Sorry for not putting all the info up to start with. My current battery is a Marine/RV Maintenance free Continuous use Deep cycle. And my charger is a Powersaver Switch mode Multi-stage as fitted by paramount in 2003. Both are in the front boot and the battery has a ventilated door.
Your original battery would seem to of lasted well, if you did not find any problems with it until it died why change, replace with the same type. The Marine/RV maintenance free battery is a good choice.
